Where We Once Roamed

Produced by me. I was a part of an accelerated program at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, called Community Voices, that selected the top film students to split into groups and make films about social justice through the theme of redemption. This course was fully funded, and therefore, I managed a $15,000 budget and was the sole producer of this film. Read about the project and see various stills below.

The blackfeet nation in releasing the first free roaming Bison in the United States has set off on an unprecedented path towards redemption of their people, the land, and the bison species. Through Ethan Running Crane and Ervin Carlson’s eyes, we understand the historical influence that the re-release has on the future of their nation as well as the impact of Bison on the ecosystem they inhabit.
